Kenya CBC Curriculum – Grade 4

At Kare Educational Centre, we will follow Kenya’s Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and blend it with Montessori’s concepts to give every child a strong start in learning. The lower primary years (Grades 1–3) focus on building literacy, numeracy, creativity, independence , responsibility and life skills in a fun and supportive environment. Each grade builds confidence step by step, preparing learners for the journey ahead.

Grade 1

This is the foundation year where learners settle into structured schooling. They are introduced to reading, writing, basic math, and creative activities in a fun and engaging way. At Kare Educational Centre, we make sure Grade 1 learners feel confident, curious, and excited about learning.

In Grade 2, children build on the basics with more focus on problem-solving, communication, and creativity. Subjects like environmental activities, music, and art help them connect what they learn in class to the world around them, while developing teamwork and confidence.

Grade 3 prepares learners for upper primary by strengthening their academic and practical skills. At this stage, we focus on independence, responsibility, and project-based learning. Children gain deeper knowledge in core subjects, while exploring talents in sports, art, and music.
